Pursuing Justice: The Bombing of 16th Street Baptist Church
The bombing of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL on September 15, 1963, has long been considered a turning point in the Civil Rights Movement. Three men eventually went to prison for the bombing and the murder of the four little girls caught in the blast, but two of those men almost escaped the pursuit of justice. This is the story of Doug Jones, the former U.S. Attorney who refused to give up until all those responsible for the bombing were behind bars.
