The 1901 Alabama Constitution is the longest constitution in the world that is still in use today. In "The Flaw of the Land", Dr. Paul Pruitt explains the purpose of the constitution, to disfranchise African-Americans and poor whites, and the cheating and corruption that got this constitution created and passed and how it affects Alabamaians, still, today.
